Regina Pats Goaltender Josh Harding, finished second in the Goaltender Race, playing in 42 games, 2,389 minutes, allowed 95 goals, 4 shoutouts for an average of 2.39. Josh was also selected to the Eastern Division Second All-Star Team. Defenseman, Filip novak, made the Eastern Conference First All-Star Team, while Forward, Matt Hubbauer was selected to the Second Team.

For the first the WHL changed from three divisions to four, now including the U.S.A. division. Coach Lorne Mulligan and Chad Mercier move to Saskatoon, while Brandon Wheat Kings Coach Bob Lowes (Ex-Regina Pat player in early 1980's) contract runs out and becomes Regina Pats new coach.
