2002-2003 - WESTERN JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE STANDINGS

Twenty year old Matt Hubbauer underwent successful surgery, November 15, at Toronto. He had an abnormal growth, a benigh tumor in the left sinus area, which had forced the Pat's player to miss the first 37 games of the regular season. Matt returned Wednesday, January 1st, as Pats lost to Brandon 4-2 at the Agridome.

February 25, at Brandon, Regina Pats had recorded their 14th tie game of the season when they tied the Wheat Kings 1-1, only to be one short the the WHL record of 15 held by New Westminster and Calgary. In the same game Pats played their 21st overtime game of the season, breaking a WHL record.
