REGINA PATS ALUMNI PICTURES

BRAD HORNUNG

(Centre- 1985-86 to 1986-87)



Sunday, March 1, 1987, the last game of the season. During the game against Moose Jaw at the Regina Agridome, Centre Brad Hornung suffered a broken neck that left him paralyzed from the neck down.



On Sunday, September 13, 1988, Regina Pats came through for a big special friend and former team mate, Brad Hornung (seen above at the game) in winning the championship game 7-5 over Brandon Wheat Kings in the Brad Hornung four team Invitational Tournament. The four day tournament was named in honour of Brad, a quadriplegic, when Brad was check into the boards in a game against Moose Jaw Warriors last March. Hornung made his first public appearance Saturday, as he watched the Pats and the Prince Albert game from the lower level of the Agridome. Brad's sister Leanne was on hand to present the Cup to the Tournament winner.
