John WELLS - Broadcaster: His career began in 1965 at Winnipeg's CKY-FM. He moved to television and radio in 1969 as sports director for CKCK in Regina, during the Regina Pats Hockey Games with colourman Ron Barnes.

In 1978, Wells began working for CBC Sports. At CBC, he worked at two Canada Games and hosted the 1978 Commonwealth Games, the 1983 World University Games, and the 1984 Summer and Winter Olympics. He also worked on Hockey Night in Canada from 1979 to 1984 as a rink side reporter and host for the telecasts from Edmonton and as a studio host on the CFL on CBC.

In 1984, Wells joined the new cable specialty channel. The Sports Network. At TSN, he hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics and was the first host of the NHL on TSN, and the first play by play man of TSN's Friday night Football. He was also one of the original Sports Desk hosts. When the NBA came to Canada in 1995, he became the host of TSN's pre-game show, NBA Tonight. The same year John Wells was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame as a broadcaster. He contributed on TSN's coverage of curling, including calling the early rounds of the 2001 Nokia Brier and the 2003 Scott Tournament of Hearts.

By 2006, Wells had been phased out at TSN after Chris Cuthbert joined the network. he moved to CJOB radio in Winnipeg, where he became the host of an afternoon show. Wells left CJOB in April 2008.

John is the son of "Cactus" Jack Wells.

Ron BARNES (later changed surname to BARNET) - Colourman:

Ron started his radio experience with CJOC Lethbridge, Alberta in 1957, then moved to CKCK Television and Radio in Regina, Saskatchewan. At CKCK he also did some sports and was the colorman with broadcaster John Well doing the Regina Pats hockey games.

Went to CKNW New Westminster in 1983, on to CKXL Calgary for one year during 1986-87. The following year moving back to New Westminster in 1987 with the Sports Department.

Pete LOUBARDIAS - 1988-89 to 1991-92

First started with CJSL Radio in Estevan, Saskatchewan, as a play-by-play broadcaster in 1984 for 4 years. Pete did the Estevan Bruins Hockey games in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). Moved to CKCK Regina, during the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League (WHL) for another 4 years, 1988-89 to 1991-92 .

On to Saskatoon, working for 8 years, (1992-93 to 1999-2000) with Television. A stop in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Three years with CFRN-TV, Edmonton, Alberta.

Rod PEDERSEN - 1992-93 to 2009-10 Was raised on a farm near Milestone, Saskatchewan, (57 km south of Regina).

His first job in broadcasting was as an evening deejay while in high school at CFSL Weyburn. After attending Mount Royal College in Calgary, Rod headed north to Prince Albert as the Voice of the Raiders on CKBI before heading home to Regina.

At Lethbridge, Alberta, on October 28, 2007, broadcaster of 14 years, Rod announced his 1,000th Regina Pats hockey game. At present has his own two hour sports show on radio CKRM and is still broadcaster for the Saskatchewan Roughrider's football games. (Photo: WebSite)

Dan PLASTER - 2009 to 2012 Started as the colorman on road games in 2009 with broadcaster Rod Pedersen. When Rod stepped down, Dan took over the broadcasting, while Al Dumba and his son Jake were the colorman for the home games.

Al Dumba - Colourman:

He became colourman with Rod Pedersen at the home games and is continuing with Dan Plaster, along with his son Jared. Al was a player with the Regina Pats as a rookie during the 1973-74 season, playing only 2 games. He played 2 more seasons till 1975-76.

Al played all his professional hockey in the International Hockey League (IHL). Following his junior hockey, played with Dayton Gems during the 1976-77 season. Then with Fort Wayne Komets, 1977-78 to 1980-81.

Was Assistant Coach with the Regina Pats from 1991-92 to 1992-93 and Co-Coach during the 1993-94 season.

Has been the coach of the Regina Pats Alumni Team since its start in 1998.

Al is an Senior Consultant with the Investors Group (Financial Services) in Regina.

Jared Dumba (Al's son) - Colourman:

Jared played junior hockey with Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League (WHL) from 1996-97 to 1997-98. Played most of his professional hockey in the Central Hockey League (CHL). Oklahoma City Blazers from 1999-00 to 2002-03 and again in 2005-06 to 2006-07. Indianapolis Ice from 2002-03 to 2003-04. Played with Austin Ice Bats during the 2004-05 season. Tulsa Oilers in 2006-07, then finished in the International Hockey League with the Flint Generals from 2007-08 to 2008-09 season.

Is presently learning the Financial work under his father with the Investors Group in Regina.
