WESTERN HOCKEY SCHEDULE

Sunday, September 22, Regina Pats had 6,148 fans turn out for the home opener, a new franchise record for a league opening game.

Tuesday, November 5, in Saskatoon, rookie Dimitri Nabokov made a Regina Pat milestone. The fourth goal in the third period at 7:41, scored by Nabokov (assisted by Boyd Kane and Brad Stuart) was Pats 19,000 goal, this included league and play-off games going back to the 1917-1918 season. The next game was also a Pat milestone. On Friday, November 8, at the Agridome against the newest entry Edmonton Ice, the pats recorded their 19,000 victory.

1995-1996 SEASON

RUSS PARKER - REGINA

PATS NEW OWNER

New Owner Russ Parker was born in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. His parents, Clarence and Eleanor Parker moved the family to Calgary when Russ was 16.

Russ is the president and his wife Diane is Secretary-Treasurer. The purchase price for the Pats was $1.7 million. The three sons: Brent, Blake and Darren, are Directors.

Brent Parker will handle the business end of the Pats operation as General Manager. Rich Preston, former Pat player (1968-69) season and Assistant Coach of Chicago Black Hawks, becomes the newest Pats Coach.


1995-1996 - WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE STANDINGS

During the off season Tacoma Rockets franhis moved to Kelowna and the club was renamed the Wings.

After many years absence from the League, Calgary returned and played in the Central Division. Owned by a professional wrestler, the team was named the Hitmen. They play their home games at the Saddle Dome.

That year the League switched to a three division format.
