The evening's festivities begin at 5 p.m. outside the Brandt Centre with a BBQ prepared by personalities from Harvard Broadcasting. For younger fans, there will be dino-bouncers on site as well as removable tattoos. The first two thousand fans into the building will receive LED Glowsticks courtesy of Mosaic.

There has been many wondering why the Pats kept 20 year old goal tender Hewitt. They had two younger goalies in pre-season that could have carried the load. Teagan Sacher in pre-season finished with a goals against average of something like 0.64. This writer things he could have been the number one goalie. Keeping a 20 year old goalie, well did the Pats make a mistake. Could the Pats have won last night with Sacher in net, I say yes.
Goaltenders: Regina - Mat Hewitt, Tergan Sacher (3rd Period) ; Brandon - Corbin Boes
First Period: Regina Pats opened the scoring as Trent Ouellette came out of the penalty box and received a pass from the right corner from Lane Scheidl and scored at 8:18, also assisted by Adam Rossingnol. Brandon tied the score at 1-1 on a power play goal as Ryan Pulock passed out to the middle of the ice and Tyrel Seaman scored at 11:45. With about six minutes remaining in the period Regina Pats had two goal posts: 16 year old Adam Brooks then Stephenson Chandler. Pats finally did score as Ouellette skated up the right boards and slide a pass to Cole Hamblin who scored on a power play goal at 16:31, also assisted by Braden Christoffer

Second Period: Just two minutes into the period, Brandon tied the score at 2-2 as Alessio Bertaggia skates out in front of the net. He goes across the goal mouth and slides the puck under Mat Hewitt. It did not take long for Pats to go up 3-2, this time it was Pats 4th line. Ty McLean does a great job along the boards, passes to Adam Brooks who scores at 3:25. At the mid point Brandon tied the game at 3-3 as Jens Meilleur from the right corner passes to far side and Nick Buonassisi scored. Then Brandon scored two fast goals to go up 5-3. Just under two minutes later, Regina Pats lets down. Daniel Asham scored at 12:17, assisted by Geordie Maguire and Ryan Pulock. With only 1:07 minutes left, Tyrel Seaman scored, assisted by Alesso Bertaggia and Jason Swyripa.

Third Period: Pats Chandler Stephenson passes to the far side of the net and Dyson Chandler tips the puck in at 6:01, also assisted by Morgan Klimchuk to make it Brandon 5-4. Brandon Swyripa scored at 17:24, assisted by Bertaggia and Pulock. One minute later Brandon scored an empty net goal by Tim McGaulet.
