From Regina Pats Web -

Tonight's exhibition game marks the beginning of the WHL Pre-Season for both the Pats and the Wheat Kings.  The Pats full roster features 14 first year players vying for the spots on the 2012-13 edition of the team.  Meanwhile, 13 of the Wheat Kings' 20 forwards still in camp are first year players.  Expect young talent to be on full display this evening.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on 620 CKRM starting with the Pre-Game Show at 6:35 p.m. at the Co-operative Centre.

The Pats completed their first trade
of the 2012-13 season yesterday, acquiring defenceman Keaton Lubin (’94) from the Calgary Hitmen for a conditional sixth round draft pick.  Lubin suited up in 50 games for the Hitmen over the last two seasons and at 6’0”/192 lbs, could add more physicality to the Pats blue line.
