LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Jamal Watson scored twice as the Lethbridge Hurricanes defeated the visiting Regina Pats 6-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Russell Maxwell had a goal plus an assist for the Hurricanes (7-7-1) as Sam Mckechnie, Ryan Pilon and Jay Merkely added a goal apiece.

Colten Mayor scored the lone goal for the Pats (6-8-1).

Ty Rimmer made 28 saves for the win as Teagan Sacher allowed four goals on 20 shots in the opening period before being relieved by Matt Hewitt.  Hewitt stopped 33-of-35 shots in the final 40 minutes of the game.

Lethbridge went 2-for-7 with the power play while Regina failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.   The Pats conclude their 4-game road trip Saturday night in Medicine Hat at 7:30 pm on 620 CKRM (Press Box Sports Bar Pregame Show at 7:05 pm).
